Best Photos for the Cofi Trend AI Video

What a good photo looks like

One person, facing the camera, with the whole face sharp and evenly lit. A recent selfie by a window or a head-and-shoulders portrait is ideal. The face should fill a good part of the frame: a tiny face in a wide holiday shot gives the model very little to work with.

Clothes and background do not matter. In the finished video both people wear plain home clothes in an ordinary kitchen, whatever they wore in the photo.

Why a photo gets rejected

More than one person in the photo. Each upload slot is for one person, so crop a group photo down to one face or use a different picture.

The face is not clear: a strong side profile, a back view, heavy blur, a very dark room, or a face covered by sunglasses, a mask, a hand or a phone.

It is not a real photo of a person: a drawing, a cartoon avatar, a pet or a photo of a screen.

The person does not look like an adult. Only photos of people who are 18 or older can be used.

The real-person review did not pass. Besides our own check, every photo goes through the video model’s review. A sharper, front-facing photo usually fixes it.

Choosing the pair

Person A stands close to the camera with the spoon and ends up grinning; Person B stands behind with the kettle and the milk and finishes with the shrug. Put whoever is the more “confident” one of you in slot A: the joke works best when the smug grin matches the person.

Try to use two photos taken in similar light. When one face is bright daylight and the other is a dim indoor shot, the two people can look mismatched in the same kitchen.

Consent and privacy

Only upload photos of yourself or of adults who agreed to be in the video, and never photos of celebrities or public figures. Uploaded photos are deleted after 7 days and finished videos after 30 days.
