Couple Coffee AI Video: Who Plays Which Role
Last updated:

The couple coffee AI video, also shared as the Cofi Trend, is built around two very different characters at the same kitchen counter. Getting the roles right is what makes your version funny. Here is who does what, how to cast the two of you and how to share it.
The two roles
Person A stands at the front, close to the camera, with a jar of instant coffee and a spoon. A is confident from start to finish, keeps scooping coffee onto the counter without noticing, breaks into a smug grin and then freezes when the milk hits the counter.
Person B stands a step behind with the kettle and, at the end, the milk. B keeps moving the mug, looks bored and unimpressed, and finishes with a palms-up shrug as if nothing happened.
Who should play which
Give A to whoever is known for being sure they are right, and B to whoever has the best deadpan face. Swapping the usual roles can be funny too: the calm one as the smug spoon, the chaotic one as the unbothered milk pourer.
In Cofi Trend AI, the first photo becomes Person A and the second becomes Person B. Use one clear, front-facing photo of each person.
Not just for couples
Despite the name, the clip works for any pair of adults: best friends, roommates, siblings, coworkers or a parent and a grown-up child. Make sure everyone in the photos agreed to it before you upload.
Posting your couple coffee video
The video is vertical 9:16 and 15 seconds long, ready for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. It has kitchen sounds but no music, so you can add a trending sound in the app before posting. Tagging the other person usually gets the best reaction.
